Their presentation will focus on the drivers and challenges of such a large scale program including gaining support from leadership and managing initial hesitation of some staff to coaching. They have experienced great success with their current model and will explore with us the next stages of implementation.
Creating Community: Acknowledging Teacher Value
Ensuring that quality teachers are retained in the profession and at their school, Annie and the team at OLSH are ensuring new staff to their school, and to the profession, know their value and feel an important part of the school community. Through a quality induction process, coupled with a cycle of enquiry, observation and student feedback, new staff are supported to grow professionally, acknowledged for their value, and become active contributing members of the school community. Annie will walk us through their program so you too can retain quality teachers in your school.
