This program is focused on improving your leadership, empowering your team and leading with purpose and vision.

You can be a member of the teaching and non-teaching staff. The issues of leadership are still the same.

Here’s a look inside at what we’ll cover over two power-packed days:

• Define Your Leadership Brand: Knowing who you are and how you want to lead is the foundation of a strategic approach as you need to stay true to that every day. You will map out your priorities for now and for your career and we will design a plant so that they are both in sync.
• The Strategic Approach: Strategy is is how things get done, goals are achieved and progress is made. Good leadership is all about strategy and this program is all about strategy, getting you to lift your thinking to the long game, the goals of the organisation and how that impacts your team and your daily focus.
• Lead with Vision and Influence: Every team leader needs to know where they want to take their team. If your team is uncertain about the destination, you are unlikely to reach your target. We will explore how effective you are at leading with vision and influence, and help you clarify your vision, so you can design a plan that invites your team to join you on the ‘journey’. 
• Re-engineer Team Culture: Are you getting the best out of your team? Using key bench marks, we will unpack your team’s culture to
  determine how you can bring your team together, to work more effectively. 
• Using coaching to build capacity: To coach is to empower. It also increases awareness and accountability. Coaching is a vital leadership skill. Across the two days, coaching will be used to explore, challenge and clarify your thinking. Your thinking will be explored to find your solutions and next steps. If you have never learnt how to coach, you will come away from the program more familiar and confident to coach, and if you have been trained in coaching, this program will allow you to practise coaching so your skills are kept current.

It is rare to be given the time to truly examine how you are leading your team. This program will take a deep dive into how you build the capacity of your team, how you influence them and how you are working towards achieving the vision and goals for your team.

You will be coached and you will coach others. Across the two days, you will explore your leadership, your vision, and how you are empowering your team at the same time as building your coaching skills and gaining valuable coaching practise.

• Resources and Templates to put your learning into practice: We understand the importance of putting theory into practice. That’s why we provide you with a range of valuable resources and templates that will enable you to apply your newfound knowledge and skills in your leadership role.
• Program Resources Pack: Dive into the program fully prepared with our comprehensive resources pack which includes the Program Workbook, Reflections Notebook, and the highly sought-after Coaching Focus bent pen.
• Completion Certificate for Professional Development: Upon successfully completing the program, you’ll receive a certificate acknowledging your participation in 12 hours of professional development. This certificate is mapped against AITSL standards, adding value to your credentials.

Is this coach-training? No this is not coach-training. It will expose you to coaching as you will be coached and coach others, so you become more familiar with coaching.  If you don’t know how to coach, you will experience the amazing benefits of coaching because you will be coached. You will be provided with coaching frameworks that you can use and incorporate into your leadership approach after the program. If you have been trained in coaching, the program will give you the opportunity to refresh your skills.

The amount of learning focused on the skill of coaching does not allow for this program to be a certified coach-training program. If you want to learn how to coach, we suggest you take the Coach Certification Program – a 2 day program (20 hours of coach-training) that is provided once every term. I’m new in my role. Is this program suitable for me? This program is designed for people who are in leadership roles and have held that role for at least 12 months. If you are new to leadership, we suggest you take the Elevating Leadership Program – a 4 module program that will help you to be CLEAR, CONFIDENT, CONSISTENT and CONSIDERED. Melbourne program Term 4 – registrations close Tuesday 22 October 2024.

This program is held in-person in Melbourne. The venue has magnificent water views.

Melbourne – Brighton Beach Hotel, The Esplanade, Brighton,  VIC

The group size is kept small (between 30 and 40) on purpose. This allows you to have more time for discussion in small groups and with the facilitator to focus on your own development.

The design of the program allows for a good pace, with a high level of interaction and discussion.
