About Leading Forward

Leading Forward is designed for established middle and senior educational leaders who have at least 12 months’ leadership experience and are ready to take a broader, more intentional approach to their role.

The Learning Journey
The day is structured around three essential leadership questions:
Purpose – Who are you as a leader?
Clarify what you want your leadership to be known for and what your role requires from you.
Direction- Where are you taking your team?
Identify the educational focus that will guide your team’s priorities and collective effort.
Impact -How will you know you are making a difference?
Identify the actions and evidence that will demonstrate progress and meaningful contribution.
Participants will use Janine Stratford’s Leadership Blueprint Model to explore these questions and connect reflection with practical action.
Develop Your Leadership Action Plan
Throughout the program, you will develop an individual Leadership Action Plan that identifies:
- what you want your leadership to be known for
- the educational focus that will guide your priorities
- the direction your team needs
- the behaviours and conversations required to move forward
- the evidence you will use to assess your impact
